Dardsley History

Lostock Hall Medical Centre's new home at Dardsley has a long medical history. It was established as a doctor’s practice in the 1880s by the Sharples family caring for local patients until about 1950. From the 1950s until 2008 it was home to the regional NHS Prescription Pricing Bureau. The Doctor Doctor project is revealing more and more of the fascinating history of the building.
