Dardsley - Prescription Pricing Years
The Prescription Pricing Authority (PPA) began working at Dardsley in the 1950s. A large single-storey extension was built to provide an open plan office for the 70 staff (mainly women) that worked there.
Many people who worked in the building are contributing their memories – see Collecting Memories page.
In 2008 the office was closed (along with a similar office in Manchester) and the prescription pricing work was centralised in Newcastle and Bolton.
